Authors are often asked why they write. The short answer—we write because we have something that we believe must be said.

At a deeper level, I write because I value the thought process that is triggered by reading and studying.  I value the opportunity to think and rethink.  Writing forces me to think, and then to put that thinking into words that are clear and concise. I hope that reading what I write takes you on the same journey.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with James Kay Publishing. Working together, we are able to put books into the hands of readers and students quickly and economically.  The work in which we partner is a not-for-profit endeavor.  It is a ministry of both author and publisher.  My books are made available in Kindle format at the lowest cost allowable on Amazon.  Further, in many cases a free version is available on my website in PDF format on my website. Excerpts from the books are often included in the videos available on my YouTube channel.  In addition, James Kay Publishing makes volume discounts available.

I write the kind of books that I would like to read — books designed to make the biblical text and the message of God more available and understandable to the average Christian. My goal is to remain true to biblical message and original meaning.  I hope to put meaningful Bible study within the reach of every person through the Bible study guides. My books that focus on a certain book of the Bible or a biblical theme also intend to facilitate Bible study.

The final goal is to make it easy for readers to obtain and to share information that leads to application, a message that informs meaning, helping make application clear.
